ATS Conditioning

Great skiing is necessary to build great racers. But great skiing requires great athleticism. The physical demands of ski racing require amazing strength, power, agility and balance. Skiing technique is a function of the skier's strength. All of these physical skills can and should be developed at a young age, and in a fun way.

The SkillsQuest Conditioning Assessment will give skiers age-appropriate targets to shoot for that will allow them to ski at their full potential. It is in development by the USSA Sport Science Department for rollout in the summer of 2014. Check the Conditioning and Nutrition tab under the skier's developmental phase here for conditioning ideas.
