Become an Evaluator

USSA sanctioned SkillsQuest Tournaments will use accredited SkillsQuest evaluators. SkillsQuest evaluator training and accreditation is available to USSA Level 300 and higher certified coaches, PSIA National Team members and PSIA examiners who attend a SkillsQuest evaluator training clinic.

SkillsQuest training and accreditation consists of

  • SkillsQuest program philosophy
  • SkillsQuest skiing assessment operational plan (how to run a SkillsQuest Tournament)
  • SkillsQuest drill review
  • SkillsQuest scoring review

SkillsQuest evaluators will be responsible for the following at events:

  • Set up their station as outlined in the SkillsQuest manual
  • Inspect the venue for security and appropriateness of terrain and snow conditions
  • Organize volunteers assigned to their station
  • Accurate and impartial scoring of all SkillsQuest participants
