Alex Tuttle has had quite a ride through the World Cup circuit with 23 World Cup starts since his 2009 debut. His non-stop work ethic has paid off with an X Games silver medal to his name and a steady rise to the top of the rankings. After his first career World Cup podium at Valmalenco, Italy, Tuttle proved he’s going nowhere but up.

Of the six World Cup events he raced in 2013, Tuttle advanced to nearly final. That included the FIS World Cup test event at the Olympic venue in Sochi, Russia, and the final World Cup of the season in Veysonnaz, Switzerland. In 2014, Tuttle continued to prove himself on the World Cup circuit and added an X Games silver medal to his list of snowboardcross accomplishments.

          FIRST TRACKS
Tuttle’s dad and sister tried to get him into skiing when he was six years old at Sugarloaf, Maine. He says that they ”weren’t much for skiing themselves so the majority of my learning came from school programs. A friend of mine got me to try a board about four years later and I knew where I wanted to take it.”

          OFF THE SNOW
Tuttle enjoys doing anything outdoors. He loves fishing, camping, hiking, hunting, or biking. He says, “I just like fun in general.”
