Mogul skier Bryon Wilson knocked everyone’s socks off in 2010, when he nailed two second-place finishes and sealed a spot on the 2010 Olympic team. But Wilson wasn't done yet. He took his newfound success and landed a bronze medal in Vancouver followed by a Junior World Championship title. To his success, U.S. coaches say his speed and agility on snow are cornerstones that will continue to keep him on top.

The 2012 season was a comeback year, following his ACL reconstruction, but 2013 was a show-stopping season for Wilson. He earned his first World Cup win in Kreischberg, Austria and finished the season ranked 10th.

BRYON SAYS
I had a really good start to the 2012-2013 season, winning my first World Cup in Kreischberg, Austria. I ended the season strong, ranking in the top 10 and placing second at U.S. Nationals. Overall, a really good season.

This summer is an Olympic prep summer, which means lots and lots of hard training to be prepared for next season. I want to come into the Olympic season strong and confident that I can win. I plan to put in a ton of work on the water ramps, in the gym and on the snow to be as prepared as possible.

FIRST TRACKS
Wilson started skiing when he was three, but didn't move to freestyle until he was 12 "and was hooked." Bryon and younger brother Brad (also a U.S. Freestyle Team member) started at Lost Trail when Tom Vinyard invited them to ski with him. Later, Wilson moved to the Bridger program with Mike Papke and Tony Gilpin before joining Wasatch Freestyle in Park City, UT.

OFF THE SNOW

Off the mountain Wilson creates wood sculptures, mostly trout carving but some other things as well. He also loves to fly fish and ride mountain bikes. “Being outdoors is sweet!”
