![]() A pro rider by day, plumber by night, Jonathan Cheever mixes his snowboarding talent like it's plumbers putty, shredding park, pipe and the SBX course. While all of his major results have come from SBX, he's known for some of the biggest airs in the halfpipe and credits his SBX speed to knowing how to handle the big kickers on the course. Cheever kept making strides in 2011 with two second-place finishes on the World Cup. The Saugus kid added some flare to his season too, winning the U.S. title and a swanky green dinner jacket that comes with it. In 2012 Cheever earned three top-10 spots at the World Cup tour, including third at Stoneham. After an unfortunate Achilles’s tendon rupture last season, Cheever worked hard in 2013 and competed in a whopping seven World Cups. He eventually cracked into the top 10 in Switzerland and Austria. Cheever also earned invites to the FIS World Snowboarding Championships at Stoneham, Quebec and the World Cup finals in Sierra Nevada, Spain. JONATHAN SAYS FIRST TRACKS OFF THE SNOW |
