Kaitlyn worked her way up in countless open competitions to make the U.S. Olympic snowboarding team in 2010, where she finished seventh. But her X Games gold and silver in 2010 and 2011 really got her going, because she then went on to become the overall Dew Tour champion in 2010 as well as the overall Sprint U.S. Grand Prix champion in 2012. Her latest accomplishments include a fourth place at FIS World Championships and a fifth place at the World Cup test event in Sochi, so she knows she can compete with the world at Sochi.

Kaitlyn grew up on a cattle ranch in Idaho and learned to snowboard in fifth grade. She loves running, music, surfing, playing golf and also collects refrigerator magnets from everywhere she travels. She has also had five wrist surgeries.
