Freestyle Training System

Freestyle Training SystemThe Freestyle Training System was developed cooperatively by key USSA club coaches, U.S. Freestyle Ski Team coaching staff members, and the USSA Sport Science staff based on their knowledge and experience and the science of athlete development.  The matrix provides a wireframe with general information in the primary domains contributing to excellence in freestyle skiing. It based on the concept of long-term athlete development - providing the training, skills and experiences that are appropriate at each development level to lead to long-term enjoyment and success in skiing.  Coaches, athletes, and parents can check their programs against this framework to evaluate and plan their future direction.  Follow the tabs above to learn more.
