Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club- Aspen, Colorado Mission: to provide all youth in the greater Roaring Fork Valley the opportunity to develop as athletes and as people through winter sports. Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s Adaptive Program had an incredibly successful and busy year. They consistently had athletes on the podium at I.P.C. World Cup and I.P.C. NorAm races, hosted the U.S. Paralympic National Speed Championships in difficult conditions, and hosted 5 learn to race camps across the country to recruit Veteran’s with disabilities into alpine competition. Currently, they one of two USSA clubs with an adaptive program integrated into it and are looking to encourage others to follow suit. In the past 2 seasons, AVSC has recruited 12 newly injured veterans which are training year round, full time with the program.
