Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Snowboard Team- Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Philosophy: Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club focuses on building your skills and meeting your goals whether you are looking to be at the top of the podium or at the bottom of the powder. The clubs mission is safe, fun skill development that encourages a passion for the mountains, camaraderie and a love of the sport.

The SSWSC Snowboard program is one of the last remaining programs to offer elite level training in all three snowboard categories: Freestyle, Alpine and Boardercross. Their program has 120 riders and 16 coaches spanning the gamut from new riders to the sport to those that are standing on podiums around the world.

USSA 2012 Snowboard Coach of the Year: Ashley Berger-SSWSC Snowboard Team

Head ProAm and Freestyle Coach Ashley Berger was named the USSA Snowboard Domestic Coach of the Year as well as the USSA Development Coach of the Year.
In her second year as Head Coach for the SSWSC Snowboard Freestyle Program, Ashley Berger (Steamboat, CO) has quickly risen to the top ranks of coaching and is a fixture at the top of every pipe in the world. She sets high standards for her riders and they have responded with great results at every level of the sport. Her female crew swept the top three spots in the overall standings of the Revolution Tour and were all nominated for Junior World Championships spots. On the men’s side, she works with several members of the U.S. Rookie squad.
