2011 U.S. Champion Dylan Ferguson is not only a rising force on the aerials hill, but he also shreds park and pipe like there's no tomorrow (search "Dylan Ferguson" on YouTube for proof). After his first two podiums on the World Cup circuit this season, expect the Massachusetts native to continue perfecting his high-flying style for years to come. To see what makes Ferguson tick, read on.

Name: Dylan Ferguson
Sport: Freestyle aerials
School: Westminster College
How/when did you decide you wanted to compete: I started competing in freestyle skiing when I was about 8-years-old. I have always loved the competition part of it but I also just love the freestyle community!
Biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Qualifying for the 2010 Olympic Team.
Favorite snow destination: Waterville Valley NH, because that is where I learned to ski and I know the mountain so well. Park City Mountain Resort is a very close second.
Favorite non-snow destination: San Diego! The surf is awesome and the beaches rule!
If you weren't a professional athlete what would you be: A surf bum.
Time you've been most scared in your life: Waiting in the hospital to find out the results of whether I would or wouldn't be able to compete in the 2010 Olympics.
Biggest vice: I love chocolates and gummies.
Biggest pet peeve: People hating on the United States! I mean come on this place is amazing.
Advice to others who want to follow in your footsteps: Always remember to have fun and love what you do for you and no one else. Most importantly have a smile on your face all the time!
