Marolt Honored by NSAA and SIA

SAVANNAH, GA (May 1) – Former U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) President and CEO Bill Marolt was honored by both the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) and SnowSports Industry of America (SIA) at the NSAA’s annual conference in Savannah, GA. The NSAA honored Marolt with the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award for his work with the ski industry throughout his career, including overseeing the record-breaking performance of USSA athletes at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. SIA also presented Marolt with a Recognition Award for his efforts to promote sport alongside the SIA. Under Marolt’s leadership, USSA athletes won 70 of the 95 Olympic medals the organization has earned throughout its history. The success of the team in recent years has resulted in unprecedented media coverage for the sports of skiing and snowboarding in America.
