PARK CITY, Utah (May 24, 2017) – The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation has announced the promotion of Major Gift Officer Amanda Black to director of development, major giving. In her new role, Black will lead the team of Foundation major gift officers and continue to help grow the program nationwide.

Black, daughter of the late ski racing publisher and U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation trustee Gary Black Jr., joined the Foundation team three years ago as a major gifts officer for the Northeast and Idaho regions. She has been a key player in raising support from donors outside of the board of trustees and supporting Foundation special events, including the New England Snow Ball.

“Amanda has established herself as a natural leader amongst our major gift officers,” said Trisha Worthington, executive vice president and chief development officer for the Foundation. “She has a strong knowledge of our organization and a deep passion for our sport, and is excited to take on this new challenge.”

The Foundation has expanded its major gifts program in recent years to better serve and grow support for U.S. Ski & Snowboard around the country. The gift officers serve as regional ambassadors for donors, support regional events and play an active role with the Foundation’s various fundraising programs, including Gold Pass and Champions Club.
