Olympics
The U.S. Olympic Committee has the responsibility to accredit U.S. media for the Olympic Games. The accreditation process for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia is scheduled to begin in July 2012 and will close in October, 2012. Accreditation will be announced in December, 2012. Non rights-holding broadcasters will receive their accreditation from the IOC and information on the process is available at http://www.olympic.org. The Games will be held in February, 2014. Information about U.S. media accreditation will be posted on http://usocpressbox.org and http://ussa.org in late 2011.
Media eligible for IOC accreditation include writers, editors and photographers from newspapers, magazines, online sites that provide original editorial content, news agencies (excluding Associated Press) and photo agencies. All media are accredited by organization and must represent that organization.
