We are a small club on a great mountain. We train alongside the Middlebury College Ski Team and host races that they participate in.

We seek a new U18-U16 coach with technical coaching skills and any and all race administrator help that is available.

For a small club, we pay extremely well and the commitment is quite minimal. Coaches work vacations and weekends, AO staff work about 11 days a winter.

Kimball Union Academy is currently seeking 2 assistant coaches for the Alpine Ski Team for the 2015-16 season. Assistants will work under the direction of Head Alpine Coach, Christine Booker.


 Assistant I: Seasonal full-time position for the winter months (approximately 10 weeks) with possibility of early December 10-day camp.

 Assistant II: Part-time position for the winter months (approximately 10 weeks) 1 or 2 afternoon practice sessions/per week, and some weekend races or training.


Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day operation of the program: athlete development, equipment management, course setting, travel, video and feedback on the hill.

Skills/ Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a strong background in alpine ski racing, and knowledge of current equipment and modern technology. He or she will be a good communicator and will have a record of working well with others. Candidates should have a valid drivers license and clean driving record. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.


The Salary for Assistant I will start at $7,500 and may increase depending on qualifications of the applicant. The position is not eligible for the Kimball Union's benefits program.

The salary for Assistant II will start at $3000, with possibility for more if applicant has more availability. The position is not eligible for the Kimball Union's benefits program.

Sundown Ski Team (New Hartford, Connecticut) is seeking coaches for its U10-U19 youth racing program for the 2015-16 season. This position runs from mid-December through mid-March, 3 days per week (weekends and one night midweek) with a holiday camp in late December. There is some flexibility regarding individual schedules. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, organizing the daily training of a student-athlete group within the alpine program, student-athlete development, equipment management, course setting, travel, video analysis, and consistent feedback on and off the hill. Wildcat Mountain Race Team

We are seeking high-energy coaches to lead our U10 and U12 alpine race programs for the 2015/2016 season.  The Wildcat Mountain Race Team, located in Pinkham Notch, NH, is a well-respected, long-established competitive junior race program (U8 to U19) that skis and trains on the most challenging terrain in the Mount Washington Valley.  Our athletes are committed, our coaches passionate and our parents are supportive.  We offer training on weekends as well as school holiday weeks from December through late March.

Team Afton

Team Afton is seeking enthusiastic and professional heavy part-time (Oct-Mar) coaches to lead its competitive youth programs (USSA, Rising Stars, ARC, and other related programs) ages U8-U18, for the 2015/2016 season. These are Afton Alps Ski and Ride School programs designed to teach fundamentals of skiing in various race-bred formats. Candidates will be required to demonstrate and deliver advanced skiing and ski racing techniques in an enthusiastic manner to these  groups (numbering 400+ eager athletes). Candidates should have high level racing and/or coaching experience (USSA and/or PSIA certification preferred) with tasks including but not limited to ski equipment maintenance/preparation, video analysis, timing, strength and conditioning. Part-time, seasonal position open in Boyne Highlands SnowSports Academy. Alpine Development Coach will report to Boyne Flyers & Team Elite Head Coach. Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

• Must possess interest in building great skiers within a junior development program of children from ages 7-12.
• Must possess ability to coach from mid-December through February, with the possibility of extending into March. Coaching Saturdays and possibly Sundays throughout the period will be required.

Coaches the MAC Alpine Ski Team Prep Program under the direction Ski Program Coordinator & Head Ski Coach. Teaches skiing fundamentals and alpine racing technique and tactics to their group of athletes in a season long progression. Seeking applicants with a current professional certification from PSIA and/or USSA, or has an experienced background in teaching skiing and/or race coaching. Prep Program Coaches work with the same group of skiers in a multi-week group lesson setting for a total of 15-18 days on snow, over 15 weeks. Tahoe Cross Country is seeking head coach for Junior Development & Competitive Team.The Tahoe Cross Country Ski Education Association (TCCSEA) program is seeking a Head Coach to work with its Nordic Junior Development and Competition Team, serving primarily middle school and high school age racers. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established association and be a part of the very successful Devo/Comp Program.

This is a 7 1/2-month salaried position (mid August through early April) with an opportunity to stay on for the 2016/17 summer/winter season. Coach snowboarding! Experience China!

HiKiddo Children’s Sports Club is seeking one seasonal or long-term snowboarding Learn To Ride (LTR) Coach. HiKiddo is a children’s sports gear shop based in Chengdu, China. The successful applicant will lead the LTR sessions, teaching entry level snowboarding to kids and adults. He/ she will also need to take snowboarding trips with the club to the ski resorts in Northern China and Japan. When there is no activities or events, he/ she will work in the shop selling children’s sports and outdoor gear.

The Successful applicant should have:

-       High school diploma or GED

-       1-3 years of experience teaching snowboarding

-       Be an advanced snowboarder

-       Love kids and be willing to work in a bilingual environment

-       Knowledge of snowboard equipment and tuning
